Septic 5
---------------------
Early next year will see the release of yet another Septic
compilation, and if we're not mistaken, it will be the fifth. Once
again, Prof. Dr. Herwig and his medical team will select the cream of
the crop, unleashing only the finest remixed or unreleased implants
on the patients. We expect a clean, incident-free operation with
excellent music and as always we will do our best to avoid any audio-
visual stillbirths. Delivery is projected for February. Is it a boy?
Is it a girl? Neither - it's a Septic!

Girls Under Glass
---------------------
The time has come: "Zyklus", the tenth studio album from Girls Under
Glass, will be released on 31 January 2005. The number "10" is of
special significance in numerology, symbolizing the union of the
beginning (1) with the nothing (0). In a musical sense "Zyklus" is a
cycle from beginning to end. The Hamburg trio selected the title
because it represents not only the completion of a cycle but also a
new beginning. Albums like "Humus", "Darius", and "Christus",
milestones of the gothic-wave scene, have made countless "all time
favorite" lists as well as influenced generations of fans.
With "Zyklus", the trio present a flawless example of electronically-
tinged gothic rock. Far removed from trendsetters such as HIM and
company, the Girls transport their signature sound into the 21st
century with this delightful, melancholy, powerful and emotive album.
The band's twenty year history can be heard in every perfect riff and
every unerring note of tracks like "In die Einsamkeit", "Feuerengel",
and of course the clubhit "Ohne Dich". The listener is treated to hit
after hit with an almost frightening matter-of-factness. With its
dark, melancholy mix of guitars and electronics, bound together with
English and German lyrics, "Zyklus" is the fitting end to a cycle
that is simultaneously a breathtaking rebirth. More information also
available at www.girlsunderglass.de.

News from "Crazy Ivan". Russian-born Gary Zon will soon be able to
find his last album "PostNuclear" in his homeland, thanks to a deal
with the Russian Soyuz label. Soyuz will also be licensing a release
each from Seabound, Covenant, and VNV Nation. In the meantime, Gary
is hard at work on his third album "Standard Issue", due out sometime
next year. Three instrumental mixes are available for download from
the band's official website www.dismantled.org.

Rather than rest on their laurels in the wake of countless
interviews, features and TV-reports(!), our newcomer act of the year
is locked in the studio and has thrown away the key. The somewhat shy
and reclusive musician finally has the opportunity to concentrate on
what he loves: music. The fruits of his labors will soon be made
available for all to enjoy, with a new single and album planned for
the first half of 2005. The child even has a name: "Dreamweb" is the
title of the follow-up to "Lost Alone" according to Stefan Poiss
(music) and Markus Hadwiger (lyrics). Good news not just for fans of
sophisticated electronic music, but also a step in the right
direction: we're not the only ones thirsting for more material from
this innovative project. For more information, see

Rotersand
---------------------
The tour with Assemblage 23 was a smashing success for the three boys
from the Ruhrpott. The merchandise flew off the table and the crowds
had no problems singing along to the songs. Now the band is hard at
work on the follow-up to their smash "Truth is Fanatic" album. You'll
know more when we do. More information also available at
www.rotersand.net.

Onlineshop
---------------------
No, you read it right the first time: Spring 2005 will see the
integration of an online shop into our website www.dependent.de,
where you'll be able to find T-shirts, CDs, posters, stickers and
more. We're chaining the webmaster to his desk and won't let him
loose until the portal works! Alongside our standard catalog, we hope
to offer special items such as tour merchandise, limited edition
release, and posters from Dependent acts old and new. We're pretty
sure we'll have something for everyone. Check our website for more
news and announcements as to the launch date.

Sulpher
---------------------
This is the UK calling! The first tracks from the new album "Delete"
have recently reached our office. We'd begun to think we'd never see
the day, but you can't blame Rob Holliday: the man has been on tour
with a dozen other bands and in addition is a sought-after studio
guitarist. The new tracks are 100% balls to the wall heavy and
destined for release on our sublabel Cellar Door, currently home to
guitar-oriented Girls Under Glass. We'll keep you posted...

Velvet Acid Christ
---------------------
News from VAC! We've just received notice of this video:

http://www.chaosacademy.net/clients/vac/velvet_acid_christ_-
_pretty_toy.mov

This is a Quicktime video for last year's "Pretty Toy" single, a
powerful and disturbing visual masterpiece in the style of films
like "Saw" and "Seven". In short, exactly what you'd expect from VAC.
In other news, Mr. Erickson is working on a new album, planned for
release in Summer 2005.
