The begining 1997 - 1999:

The band was formed under the name Sator in 1997/98 in Skawina, near Cracow. The first line-up was:

· Paulina Maslanka - vocals
· Jaroslaw Baran - drums & guitar
· Sebastian Wojtowicz - rhythm guitar
· Piotr Szymanski - bass guitar
· Tomasz Polczyk - keyboards

After a few-month's work the band recorded their demo tape "...And Remember" released by Eternal Blackness. Immediately after the recording, the band was joined by Daniel Kaczmarczyk on drums. In the new line-up the band prepared and recorded 10 new songs. The material, produced by Jarek Baran and recorded in his home studio, attracted the attention of several labels. Eventually the band signed a deal with Metal Mind Productions. Shortly afterwards the band had to change its name to Delight, as it turned out that there already was another band called Sator. Before their debut album's premiere, Daniel and Tomek left the band and were replaced by Tomek Baran on drums and Barbara Lasek on keyboards.

"The Last Temptation" - 2000:

Their first LP "Last Temptation" came out in December 2000. After a series of gigs, many interviews and a promotional campaign in the media, the band proceeded to work on new material, which was to be released exactly one year after their debut. Though the task was not easy, the band still managed to perform at the Castle Party Festival in Bolkow. The show was very successful and the audience feedback was great

"The Fading Tale" - 2001:

In 2001 Metal Mind released Delight 2nd album - "The Fading Tale". The album, consisting of 9 tracks, was also recorded in Jarek Baran's studio. Interestingly, the band decided to include a cover of George Michael's "Careless Whispers". The album combined elements of heavy/power metal and ambient music with keyboard sounds and Paulina's very melodic voice. The album was well accepted by the fans and got extremely good reviews in music press. Soon after, Delight went on tour with Moonlight, and their support performances were a success. The public response was enthusiastic, which roused the musicians' energy to work even harder on yet another LP.

"Eternity" - 2002:

"Eternity" was released in October 2002, and it did not disappoint Delight's fans. Right after the third album's premiere the band took part in a prestigious tour with Artrosis, Moonlight, Fading Colours and Desdemona (Dark Stars Festival 2002). During this tour, which comprised 8 gigs in Poland, they played alongside the leading bands of Polish gothic scene. Just after the premiere of "Eternity" Tomasz Baran (drums) was replaced by Piotr Wojcik. After the tour Basia Lasek left the band and the keyboards were taken over by Jakub "Cube" Kubica (also in Thy Disease, a Polish black/death metal band). It is worth mentioning that Delight's albums are also released in Japan, by Wood Bell. Also the Japanese music media took interest in the band.

"The Last Tale of Eternity" - 2003:

In the spring of 2003 Delight played at one of the most prestigious metal events in Poland, the Metalmania Festival 2003, supporting bands like Samael, Saxon, Opeth, Vader, Anathema, The Exploited, Sweet Noise, Marduk, Malevolent Creation, Enter Chaos and other great bands. Even though Paula was only one of the two girls performing that night, the show was successful. On 9 April 2003 Delight recorded a live show in a TV Studio in Cracow, which was later released on the band's first DVD, "The Last Tale of Eternity". In May, Delight played a few gigs in Germany. They performed in Berlin, Dresden and Leipzig. Unfortunately, another line-up change followed - Sebastian, the guitarist and one of the band founders left Delight. With the renewed line-up Delight played at the most important independent festival in Central Europe - Castle Party 2003. In autumn, they were invited to play at the Dark Stars Festival tour for the second time, this time with Closterkeller, Moonlight, Sacriversum and StrommoussHeld.

"Anew" - 2004:

At the moment, after finishing Anew (released in two language versions - "Anew" in English, "Od nowa" in Polish), the musicians are preparing themselves for the third edition of the Dark Stars Festival. This year it will lead through 18 cities.

Current Line-up:

· Paulina Maslanka - vocals
· Jarek Baran – gitar
· Piotr Wojcik - drums
· Jakub "Cube" Kubica - keyboard
