With pleasure I started to review the album by Future Proof, as not often do I get works from Poland that represent such a standard of performance and production. Though it's just a promo material (we'll have to wait for the full-length album) I didn't get the impression that the tracks are unfinished or lack something on the production level.

The album opens with electronic, pulsating with bass and filled with stuffy atmosphere Intro that then smoothly becomes Dowód przyszłości - fast, rhythmic song enriched by the sound of a fuzzed guitar. And the first surprise is that the voice of the vocalist Mariusz Małyj is clear, unmodified by any effects (it changes only in the chanted refrain) and it's quite high. Frankly speaking, I like such an idea. The next goes Ogień - a slower composition than the previous one and much longer as well - it lasts almost 8 minutes. And by the way it's the best composition on the album, with a nice, a bit "atari-like" keyboards. Moreover, the song has a fine, a bit poetic lyrics. Unfortunately, the next track Psychodream is a disappointment. This fast, dynamic thresh is too much a contrast to the preceding song, it's sung in English - in the stanza it reveals not the best accent, which improves greatly in the mantra-like refrain. It's a fine song but it shouldn't go after Ogień, maybe they might just change the order of songs?
Pajęczyna on the other hand is enriched by a completely distorted, echoed vocal - you have to listen very carefully to find out whether the lyrics is in Polish or in English. As the song goes on, the vocal clears a bit, or maybe the ear just gets used to it. This track is a very strong point!
The main part of the production is closed by Piosenka - again a slower song (I won't risk using the word "ballad") and again it's a strong, original lyrics and distorted rhythm that won't let you get bored.

The album contains also tree additional remixes of Future Proof (it's short, lasting not even a minute), Pajęczyna (a dance version with a stronger bit) and Ogień (a shorter and also faster version). It's a nice supplement to the basic material, extending the album to a bit more than three quarters.

To summarise: the album is nice to listen to, seasoned with hypnotic sauce and a slightly freaky image of the band themselves. Apart from that, the material is very fresh - played in the July 2005. The production is very successful and it's sure worth to get to know it, especially if someone likes music from somewhere between electro and punk.

The band works all the time on new compositions and they're still improving the old ones - I'm really curious of the final effect.

7/10
