This is a list of artists that found their end before their time.
Whom of these would you think that would have changed the sound of music if they had continued. Or, simply chose your favourite.

If you'd like to vote for someone else, please post a reply with the name of the musician.

I think that Jim Morisson have changed the sound of music before he's gone. He was the most creative musician of all those you've listed. And I think that if he will live to this time, he could be most popular and rich than any other.

maybe that's true, but in terms of artists that when they died they had only began to scratch the surface of their talent, let's not forget Ian Curtis and Jeff Buckley. both only managed to release one album, and that one album started a revolution. in Ian Curtis' case, musical history speaks for itself. Buckley's influence is greatly understated mainly because that man tried a totally different thing than Curtis did, and that is to resurrect a style of music that died 20 years before Jeff ever got started. and this is simply far more difficult.
i admire Morrison as well, but, when faced with facts, the thing he was best at was to shock. the music isn't that "far out" for the period of time he released his music in.
Kurt Cobain, might be another good example but it's debatable wheter he would have made music that would have had as big of an impact as his first releases had.

Some musicians are missing, but to me all of them were great artists... I don't know wheter they were great people, some of them for sure not, but it's not me to judge them.

I miss Hillel Slovak, the first (and the best) guitar player of Red Hot Chili Peppers...
