FREE STUFF:
http://www.mobilization.com/artists/savage_audio.html has the
complete Savage Republic San Francisco 2002 KFJC broadcast, plus the
interview some of the band members: including Jeff Long, Bruce Licher
and Ethan Port.

There are also MP3s from the final Savage Republic performance Feb
25, 1989.

Courtney Love of all people "Did the Math" on how hard it is for
bands and independent artists to make ends meet. It's actually a
great little business school 101 lesson.

HOW TO DESTROY THE UNIVERSE Festival:
The first three festivals went very well. Each one was quite
different.

The first festival was held at Studioz in San Francisco with the Punk
Rock Orchestra. Organizing 40 musicians was great fun and insanity
and Mobilization almost broke even.

The second festival looked like a scene out of Dante's inferno. The
fire art and post-punk madness spiraled out of control until late on
Saturday the Shipyard folks were seen dueling over an art wager with
bloody cow femurs, while Aesthetic Meat Front members electrocuted
themselves and dangled from chest piercing from the Shipyard's fork
lift. There's a short video clip on the Destroy page, and we'll have
a larger DVD and online download available later this year. The
Shipyard took the cash they received from the rental of the space and
parlayed that into a large contribution to the Kerry campaign.

The third festival was our first "on the road" test drive. Although
smaller scale, it still had "the edge" to it, and was a ton of fun,
and keeping with the tradition broke even.

SAVAGE REPUBLIC Re-issues:

The first 1000 copies of the Savage Republic box set are pretty much
sold out. We have a few copies of some of the individual CDs at the
warehouse, but they are going quickly.
There is currently no plan to re-print the hand letter-pressed
covers, but we do plan to re-issue a jewel case version of the studio
recordings shortly. Future Mobilization SR plans include a
remixed "best of" CD and a live box set including SR '81-'83, Live
Trek, Live in Europe, Final SR show 1989 and the 2002 Reunion. The
2002 reunion release will come from the multi-track digital
recordings we made in LA, SF and Chicago, so will be exceptionally
good quality. This probably won't happen until 2006.
The Mobilization Archive Series will also be releasing CDR versions
of the original vocal version of the Ceremonial LP, and a few of the
other "Savage
Republic Tapes" releases such as "I Married Thurston". The band is
paid royalties on all these releases, so they are the "official"
bootlegs.

F-SPACE NEWS:

It's the end of the year and F-SPACE is busy hibernating for the
winter recording like mad for the new releases. The Mobilization
Studio is in full operation.
The upcoming How to Destroy the Universe Festivals are being re-
arranged as COIL had been planned as the headliner. All our
sympathies go out to friends and family of John Balance. However,
life goes on and we hope to have some big announcements for 2005
soon.
We plan to continue the mobilization next year. There are no shows
planned for the next few months while we pour concrete for the F-
SPACE concrete release, the worlds first LP made out of concrete,
playable on your turntable (if you still have one!)
In the mean time, Scot Jenerik's tour journal was just posted to:
http://mobilization.com/artists/fspace/press/tour_journals/

It gives his eye witness account of the atrocities that took place on
the first "Soundtrack of the Apocalypse Tour" to NYC and Amsterdam
last October.
Oh, and if you haven't read it yet, you can also see my first hand
account of the WTC attack on 9/11 at the bottom of main
htpp://mobilization.com page.
Binaural recordings from the tour are available for free download at:
mobilization.com/artists/fspace_audio.html

There's video from Burning Man and a slew of un-released tracks.

Prodigy asked F-SPACE to open for them in Europe last month, but it
fell through at the last minute due to technical issues. Maybe next
year. Either way a European tour is being planned, perhaps with one
of my other former bands.
Besides the tour, F-SPACE is getting involved with the new BORG2
movement, set in motion by Jim Mason and Chicken John. You can find
out the latest developments at:
