Unfortunately, this new release from Das Ich does not have the force of past releases. It seems a bit monotonous at places, it seems like the sound is striving too much at times to reach complexity. Allthough, the motif of the entire album is sown together with the 8 tracks pretty good, giving a feeling of unity, completeness. I find the cover very good, by D.I. standards, again merging with the 'lava' motif. For diehard fans of this exceptional band, this album won't dissapoint but, in my opinion, it won't bring any new fans to the band, as it marks a step in their progression.
One has to be acustomed with this kind of sound in order to appreciate what these three German artists have created.
